
CVC Leadership
Multiple groups of state employees provide statewide leadership and support to CVC. The CVC Advisory Council (CVCAC) is is a state employee committee composed of a representative from each cabinet secretariat, the legislative branch, the judicial branch, seven regional representatives and three state employee's chosen at-large. Each of these members is appointed by their respective executive, at the request of the Secretary of Administration. Members serve three -year terms. The CVCAC is responsible for general campaign oversight. Additionally, it is charged with the continued revision and improvement of CVC and all its processes.
Additionally, Agency Coordinators are appointed by their respective agency head to organize the CVC within their agency. Our coordinators are a very important and crucial part of the CVC team.

About Anne After spending more than 25 years in the private sector and more than two decades of volunteer work in multiple charities, Anne joined the state in 1999. In 2005 she joined DHRM and took on the lead role for the Commonwealth of Virginia Campaign, beginning with a special drive for hurricane Katrina in her first week in that role. Seven years and $25 million in donations later, she leads a team of CVC program assistants and the CommonHealth wellness programs. Anne has a degree in Marketing and Business from Christopher Newport College and a master’s degree in Education and Human Resource Development from Virginia Commonwealth University. She and her family live in Williamsburg. |

About Melissa Melissa came to CVC in 2010. She brings a wide range of experience from her previous duties in enforcement and Hearing and Appeals at ABC. Melissa also has 10 years of experience working as a 911 dispatcher for Richmond City Police Department and Orange County Sheriff’s office. She served on the Employee Benefits Association while at ABC and has extensive experience in special event planning. Working with the wide range of charities within CVC and planning the many special events during the campaign season tops the list as her favorite parts of her job. Melissa enjoys spending time with her husband Larry, and their sons Jared and Braeden. Her favorite past-times include shoe shopping and planning her next Halloween party.

About Cindy Cindy became part of the CVC staff in October, 2011. She previously worked as an Event Manager at the Roanoke Civic Center where she gained experience in all types of event planning. She also has experience working in Marketing and Journalism. Cindy is a Radford University alumnus with a degree in Media Studies. Cindy says the best part of working as a CVC coordinator is being able to work with such a wide range of employees and charities, making every day a little different from the last. In her free time, Cindy enjoys traveling, painting at the local pottery studio, and visiting her young niece and nephew. |
