The Civil War Preservation Trust affirms that it provides human health and welfare services. The mission of the Civil War Preservation Trust is to promote the appreciation of stewardship of our nation’s cultural and environmental heritage through the preservation of historic Civil War battlefields, and through related public education and preservation programs. The Civil War, by all accounts, was the defining point in our nation’s history. The Civil War Preservation Trust is saving these battlefields not just as hallowed ground but as inspirational, educational and cultural resources for present and future generations. As such, The Civil War Preservation Trust provides health and human service benefits to the tens of millions of Americans -- from all walks of life -- who visit Civil War battlefields and historic sites each year.
